What a planner means

Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend is Oracle Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend. View, Barchart Options. General tab. Mark Show Legend to display. Clear it to hide. OK, or Apply to view without closing. You can drag the legend on the Gantt Chart. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Show Legend object note, not Show or hide a Gantt Chart's legend (Tracking), not Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart, not Show or hide the profile legend, not print Page Setup Gantt Chart Legend, not Change the background lines in the Gantt Chart, not Display the Gantt Chart, not TASKPRED, not EPPM Show Legend / Hide Legend on Gantt View Format copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Gantt legend.

Oracle does print a how-to titled Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend. Oracle does not print a menu item named Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend. The menu that how-to prints is View, Barchart Options. Do not invent View > Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend. Do not invent View, Bars or Click Options on this how-to.

Oracle Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend (Professional):

  • "Click OK. To view your changes without closing this dialog box, click Apply."
  • "Choose View, Barchart Options."
  • "Click the General tab."
  • "To display the Gantt Chart legend, mark the Show Legend checkbox. To hide the Gantt Chart legend, clear the Show Legend checkbox."

Note: "You can move the legend within the Gantt Chart. Move the mouse over the legend, click and hold the mouse button, and drag the legend."

That how-to fetched prints no View, Bars, no Click Options, no Display the Gantt Chart first, no Save, and no Hide Legend button. Do not invent those on this how-to.

Show or hide a Gantt Chart's legend is a different how-to (Tracking / Working with the Gantt Chart). Display the Gantt Chart, then View, Barchart Options; Click Options; General tab; mark or clear Show Legend. Do not copy Click Options onto this Activities how-to.

Show Legend is a different object note. The Show Legend checkbox. Leave Show Legend as the object.

Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart is a different how-to. Show Relationships. Do not collapse the legend onto relationship lines.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — View, Barchart Options; General; Show Legend; OK or Apply. Drag to move. No Save on that page.

EPPM web — Oracle Gantt View Format of the Activities Page: "Show Legend: Enables you to view a description of the currently defined bars available on the Gantt chart and whether relationship lines are currently selected to show. To hide the legend, click Hide Legend." That page fetched does not print View, Barchart Options, General tab, or OK. Do not copy Professional View, Barchart Options onto EPPM. Do not copy EPPM Hide Legend onto Professional.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no LEGEND / SHOWLEGEND / GANTTLEGEND / LAYOUTLEGEND table. Do not invent a view %T. Showing or hiding the legend does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project can show a Gantt bar legend. Do not map that as P6 Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
