Privacy
What this site keeps. Last updated: October 3, 2026.
SAL Tools at salprojects.com/tools is operated by Schappert Associates. This Privacy page explains what we collect, why we use it, and how long we keep it. Using the site also means you agree to the Terms of use.
What we collect
- Account details you give us, such as your email, name, company, and password hash.
- Uploaded schedule files, including XER or other supported files, and the working data and results produced by a tool.
- Usage logs, sign-in and device-security events, and feedback you send from a tool.
- Payment and subscription metadata from Stripe. Stripe handles payment; SAL Tools never sees or stores your card number.
- Cookies and session information needed to sign in, remember a trusted device, and keep preferences.
Your files and retention
Files are parsed on the server so the tools can do their work; do not assume an upload stays only on your device. Keep your own originals and treat tool output as a draft until you have checked it.
- Free, guest, and demo work: files and working data are deleted after 8 hours.
- Paid workspaces: working data is kept until you close the file or open a new one.
- XER Cleaner: its upload copy is deleted as soon as the cleaned file is built.
- No training on files: we do not use your schedules to train models.
Short version: Trust. Public sample without sign-in: Try a sample.
How we use and share information
We use information to provide and secure SAL Tools, manage accounts and subscriptions, respond to support requests, and understand usage. We do not sell your data, files, or email list. Site operators may look at an account when you ask for help, when billing is in dispute, or when needed to keep the site secure. Payment is handled by Stripe.
Shared reports
If you create a report share link, SAL Tools stores a frozen, view-only copy of that one report for seven days. Anyone with the link can view it without signing in. You can revoke it from your account at any time; expiry or revocation deletes the snapshot. Shared links are not indexed by search engines, and the link itself does not include your account password or session.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in on /tools/. A device cookie can remember a trusted browser so we do not email a code every time. Theme preference is stored in your browser. Cloudflare Turnstile may be used to distinguish people from automated abuse; Cloudflare processes the information needed for that security check.
Your choices and contact
You may ask us to delete account information or files by using the contact form. We reply by email and may need to verify the request. Privacy questions and deletion requests can use that same contact page.
