Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet Columns

Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns is View, Columns

P6 Activity Table of sample EC00515 under WBS bands.
This is the Activity Table. Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns is a timescaled grid, not these columns.

What a planner means

Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns is Oracle Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns. Display the spreadsheet, then View, Columns. Left pane. Add or remove from Available Columns / Selected Options. At least one column must remain. Change order in Selected Options. OK to update, Apply to view without closing, Default to restore default columns. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Activity Usage Spreadsheet object note, not Customize Resource Usage Spreadsheet columns, not Select Activity Usage Spreadsheet fields, not TASKPRED, not EPPM copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Task Usage column chooser.

Oracle does print a how-to titled Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns. Oracle does not print a menu item named Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns. The path that how-to prints is View, Columns. Do not invent View > Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns.

Oracle Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns (Professional):

  • "You can customize the columns that display in the left pane of the Activity Usage Spreadsheet."
  • "Display the spreadsheet, then choose View, Columns."
  • "To add a column to the spreadsheet, select it in the Available Columns section, then click."
  • "To add all available columns to the spreadsheet, click."
  • "To remove a column from the spreadsheet, select it in the Selected Options section, then click."
  • "To remove all current columns from the spreadsheet, click."
  • "You must select at least one column to display in the spreadsheet."
  • "To change the order in which columns display, in the Selected Options section, select a column you want to move:"
  • "To move the column left, click."
  • "To move the column right, click."
  • "To update columns in the spreadsheet, click OK, or to view your changes without closing this dialog box, click Apply."
  • "To restore the default columns, click Default."

That how-to fetched prints OK, Apply, and Default. It does not print the transfer-button names (the add/remove/move sentences end at "click."). Do not invent arrow or double-arrow button captions. Oracle prints Available Columns and Selected Options on the same page. Do not pick one as the only real section name.

The Activity Usage Spreadsheet is a different object note. Leave Activity Usage Spreadsheet as the object.

Select Activity Usage Spreadsheet fields is a different how-to. Do not collapse View, Columns onto that page.

Customize Resource Usage Spreadsheet columns is a different how-to. Columns, Customize on left/middle panes. Do not collapse this onto that note. See Customize Resource Usage Spreadsheet Columns.

Display the Activity Usage Spreadsheet is a different how-to. See Display the Activity Usage Spreadsheet.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — display the spreadsheet; View, Columns; left pane; OK / Apply / Default.

EPPM web — the Professional how-to page is the source for this note. Do not invent an EPPM View, Columns dialog. Do not copy Professional View, Columns onto EPPM.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no ACTUSAGE / AUSCOLS table. Do not invent a view %T. Customizing columns does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project can insert Task Usage columns. Do not map that as P6 Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.

Don't

  • Invent View > Customize Activity Usage Spreadsheet columns, or transfer-button names this page does not print.
  • Collapse this onto Select Activity Usage Spreadsheet fields, Customize Resource Usage Spreadsheet columns, or the Activity Usage Spreadsheet object.
  • Copy Professional View, Columns onto EPPM.
  • Invent an AUSCOLS XER table, or reconstruct the how-to from TASK.
  • Map MSP Task Usage columns as this how-to.
  • Claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
