Display Roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet
Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet is left pane Select View, By Role

What a planner means
Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet is Oracle Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet. Activities window. Left pane of the Resource Usage Spreadsheet: Display Options bar → Select View, By Role. Only available if the spreadsheet is displaying data for all projects, not open projects only. To redisplay resources: Display Options bar → Select View, By Resource. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Resource Usage Spreadsheet object note, not Display the Resource Usage Spreadsheet, not Select resources or roles for the Resource Usage Spreadsheet, not TASKPRED, not EPPM copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Resource Usage grouping.
Oracle does print a how-to titled Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet. Oracle does not print a menu item named Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet. The path that how-to prints is Display Options bar → Select View, By Role. Do not invent View > Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet.
Oracle Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet (Professional):
- "In the Activities window, click the Display Options bar in the left pane of the Resource Usage Spreadsheet, then choose Select View, By Role. This option is only available if the spreadsheet is displaying data for all projects, rather than open projects only."
- Note: "To redisplay resources in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet, click the Display Options bar in the left pane, then choose Select View, By Resource."
That how-to fetched prints no OK, no Apply, no Save, no Yes, no Resource Assignments window, and no Show All Projects click path. Do not invent those on this how-to.
The Resource Usage Spreadsheet is a different object note. Leave Resource Usage Spreadsheet as the object.
Display the Resource Usage Spreadsheet is a different how-to. Show on Bottom / Show on Top. See Display the Resource Usage Spreadsheet.
Select resources or roles for the Resource Usage Spreadsheet is a different how-to. Do not collapse it onto By Role.
Professional vs EPPM
Professional — Activities window; left-pane Display Options bar → Select View, By Role. All-projects view only. By Resource to redisplay resources. No OK / Apply on this how-to page.
EPPM web — the Professional how-to page is the source for this note. Do not invent an EPPM By Role control. Do not copy Professional Display Options bar onto EPPM.
Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.
XER
The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no RESOURCEUSAGE / BYROLE table. Do not invent a view %T. Select View, By Role does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.
Microsoft Project
Microsoft Project can group Resource Usage by resource type. Do not map that as P6 Display roles in the Resource Usage Spreadsheet. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
Don't
- Invent View > Display roles, OK, Apply, Save, Yes, or a Resource Assignments path on this how-to.
- Collapse this onto Display the Resource Usage Spreadsheet, Select resources or roles, or the Resource Usage Spreadsheet object.
- Invent a Show All Projects click path on this page (it only says By Role is all-projects only).
- Copy Professional Display Options bar onto EPPM.
- Invent a BYROLE XER table, or reconstruct the how-to from ROLES.
- Map MSP Resource Usage grouping as this how-to.
- Claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
