This is the Resources tab. Define Resource Usage Profile sets the histogram, not assignment rows.

What a planner means

Define the Resource Usage Profile is Oracle Define the Resource Usage Profile. Display the profile. Display Options bar → Resource Usage Profile Options. For the stacked histogram: Display Options bar → Stacked Histogram, then Display Options bar → Resource Usage Profile Options. You can also right-click → Resource Usage Profile Options. The options depend on Regular Histogram vs Stacked Histogram. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Resource Usage Profile object note, not Display the Resource Usage Profile, not Define the Resource Usage Profile - Regular Histogram, not Define the Resource Usage Profile - Stacked Histogram, not Define the Activity Usage Profile, not TASKPRED, not EPPM copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Resource Graph options.

Oracle does print a how-to titled Define the Resource Usage Profile. Oracle does not print a menu item named Define the Resource Usage Profile. The path that how-to prints is Display Options bar → Resource Usage Profile Options. Do not invent View > Define the Resource Usage Profile.

Oracle Define the Resource Usage Profile (Professional):

  • "Display the Resource Usage Profile, then click the Display Options bar in the profile and choose Resource Usage Profile Options."
  • "To display the profile options for the stacked histogram, click the Display Options bar in the profile and choose Stacked Histogram. Then, click the Display Options bar in the profile and choose Resource Usage Profile Options. You can also right-click in the profile and choose Resource Usage Profile Options."
  • "The options available to define the Resource Usage Profile depend on whether you display the Regular Histogram or the Stacked Histogram."

That how-to fetched prints no OK, no Apply, no Save, no Yes, no Data tab, no Graph tab, and no View menu. Do not invent those on this how-to. The Regular Histogram and Stacked Histogram how-tos have the option lists.

The Resource Usage Profile is a different object note. Leave Resource Usage Profile as the object.

Display the Resource Usage Profile is a different how-to. Show on Bottom. See Display the Resource Usage Profile.

Define the Resource Usage Profile - Regular Histogram is a different how-to. Do not collapse it onto this page.

Define the Resource Usage Profile - Stacked Histogram is a different how-to. Do not collapse it onto this page.

Define the Activity Usage Profile is a different how-to. See Define the Activity Usage Profile.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — Display Options bar → Resource Usage Profile Options (Stacked: choose Stacked Histogram first). Right-click also opens Resource Usage Profile Options. No OK / Apply on this overview page.

EPPM web — the Professional how-to page is the source for this note. Do not invent an EPPM Resource Usage Profile Options dialog. Do not copy Professional Display Options bar onto EPPM.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no RSRUSAGE / PROFILEOPTIONS table. Do not invent a view %T. Defining the profile does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project can format a Resource Graph. Do not map that as P6 Define the Resource Usage Profile. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
