What a planner means

View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project is Oracle View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project. Open one or more projects. Activities window; View, Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Profile (or Layout Options bar → Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Profile). In the right pane, Display Options bar, make sure Show All Projects is not selected. Left pane Display Options bar → Select View, By Resource or By Role. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Resource Usage Profile object note, not Display the Resource Usage Profile, not View a profile of resource allocation across all projects, not Define the Resource Usage Profile, not TASKPRED, not EPPM copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Resource Graph options.

Oracle does print a how-to titled View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project. Oracle does not print a menu item named View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project. The path that how-to prints is Show on Bottom, then clear Show All Projects. Do not invent View > View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project.

Oracle View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project (Professional):

  • "Open one or more projects for which you want to view a resource profile."
  • "In the Activities window, choose View, Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Profile."
  • "You can also click the Layout Options bar, then choose Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Profile."
  • "In the right pane of the bottom layout window, click the Display Options bar and make sure Show All Projects is not selected. A check next to Show All Projects indicates that it is selected."
  • "To view resource allocation by resource, click the Display Options bar in the left pane of the bottom layout window, then choose Select View, By Resource."
  • "To view resource allocation by role, click the Display Options bar in the left pane of the bottom layout window, then choose Select View, By Role."
  • Tip: "When viewing resource allocation for a specific project, you can include resource overtime. When viewing by role, you can include remaining units in the profile and specify whether you want remaining units displayed as a single value for all projects or as separate values for staffed versus unstaffed projects."
  • Note: "Bars do not display for summary rows if your selection contains a mixture of labor/ nonlabor and material resources. Dashes display in the Total and Cumulative columns in the profile details."
  • Note: "Bars and cumulative curves with negative values do not display in the profile. You can view the negative values in the profile details. Double-click in the profile to view the profile details."

That how-to fetched prints no OK, no Apply, no Save, no Yes, and no Resource Usage Profile Options dialog. Do not invent those on this how-to. How to mark Show Overtime is Regular Histogram define, not this page.

The Resource Usage Profile is a different object note. Leave Resource Usage Profile as the object.

View a profile of resource allocation across all projects is a different how-to. Show All Projects selected. See View a Profile of Resource Allocation Across All Projects.

Display the Resource Usage Profile is a different how-to. Show on Bottom only. See Display the Resource Usage Profile.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — open one or more projects; View, Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Profile; right pane Display Options bar, Show All Projects not selected; left pane By Resource or By Role. No OK / Apply on this how-to page.

EPPM web — the Professional how-to page is the source for this note. Do not invent an EPPM specific-project profile control. Do not copy Professional Display Options bar onto EPPM.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no RSRUSAGE / OPENPROJECTS table. Do not invent a view %T. Clearing Show All Projects does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project can show a Resource Graph. Do not map that as P6 View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.

Don't

  • Invent View > View a profile of resource allocation for a specific project, OK, Apply, Save, or Yes.
  • Collapse this onto Show All Projects, Display the Resource Usage Profile, Regular/Stacked define, or the Resource Usage Profile object.
  • Invent how to mark Show Overtime on this page (the tip only says you can include it).
  • Copy Professional Show All Projects onto EPPM.
  • Invent an OPENPROJECTS XER table, or reconstruct the how-to from TASKRSRC.
  • Map MSP Resource Graph as this how-to.
  • Claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
