View a Spreadsheet of Resource Overallocation Across All Projects

View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects is Show All Projects; Spreadsheet Fields, Customize; Overallocated Early/Late Units

P6 Resources tab. Assignment columns include Start, Finish, and Budgeted Units.
This assignment is on one activity. View Resource Usage Spreadsheet overallocation for all projects is enterprise, not this tab.

What a planner means

View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects is Oracle View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects. Activities window; View, Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Spreadsheet (or Layout Options bar). Right pane Display Options bar → Show All Projects. Right-click in the spreadsheet → Spreadsheet Fields, Customize. Add Overallocated Early Units and/or Overallocated Late Units. Ok. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Resource Usage Spreadsheet object note, not View a spreadsheet of resource allocation across all projects, not Show or hide resource overallocation in the Resource Usage Profile, not Select Resource Usage Spreadsheet fields, not TASKPRED, not EPPM copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Resource Usage overallocation.

Oracle does print a how-to titled View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects. Oracle does not print a menu item named View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects. The path that how-to prints is Show All Projects, then Spreadsheet Fields, Customize. Do not invent View > View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects.

Oracle View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects (Professional):

  • "You can choose Resource Usage Spreadsheet fields to spread overallocated resources units over early and late dates."
  • "In the Activities window, choose View, Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Spreadsheet."
  • "You can also click the Layout Options bar, then choose Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Spreadsheet."
  • "In the right pane of the bottom layout window, click the Display Options bar and choose Show All Projects, if it is not already selected. A check next to Show All Projects indicates that it is selected."
  • "Right-click in the spreadsheet, then choose Spreadsheet Fields, Customize. Select Overallocated Early Units and/or Overallocated Late units in the available options section, then click the right arrow to add the fields to the spreadsheet."
  • "When a resource is spread over the early dates of activities, to view the number of units beyond the resource's limit that are planned over a given timeperiod, select Overallocated Early Units."
  • "When a resource is spread over the late dates of activities, to view the number of units beyond the resource's limit that are planned over a given timeperiod, select Overallocated Late Units."
  • "Click Ok."

That how-to fetched prints Ok (not Apply, not Save, not Yes). Do not invent Apply. Oracle prints Overallocated Late units in the add-field step and Overallocated Late Units in the late-dates sentence (same page). Do not pick one as the only real field name.

The Resource Usage Spreadsheet is a different object note. Leave Resource Usage Spreadsheet as the object.

View a spreadsheet of resource allocation across all projects is a different how-to. Show All Projects only. Do not collapse this onto that page. See View a Spreadsheet of Resource Allocation Across All Projects.

Show or hide resource overallocation in the Resource Usage Profile is a different how-to. Data tab, Show Limit and Show Overallocation. Do not collapse this onto the profile note. See Show or Hide Resource Overallocation in the Resource Usage Profile.

Select Resource Usage Spreadsheet fields is a different how-to. Do not collapse this onto that page.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — Activities Show on Bottom, Resource Usage Spreadsheet; Show All Projects; right-click Spreadsheet Fields, Customize; Overallocated Early Units and/or Overallocated Late Units; Ok.

EPPM web — the Professional how-to page is the source for this note. Do not invent an EPPM Overallocated Early/Late Units dialog. Do not copy Professional Spreadsheet Fields onto EPPM.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no RESOURCEUSAGE / OVERALLOC table. Do not invent a view %T. Adding Overallocated Early/Late Units does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project can show overallocation on Resource Usage. Do not map that as P6 View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.

Don't

  • Invent View > View a spreadsheet of resource overallocation across all projects, Apply, Save, or Yes.
  • Collapse this onto the allocation spreadsheet notes, Select Resource Usage Spreadsheet fields, Show or hide resource overallocation in the Resource Usage Profile, or the Resource Usage Spreadsheet object.
  • Copy Professional Spreadsheet Fields onto EPPM.
  • Invent an OVERALLOC XER table, or reconstruct the how-to from TASKRSRC.
  • Map MSP Resource Usage overallocation as this how-to.
  • Claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
