Change a Gantt Chart Bar's Settings

Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings is Oracle Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings. View, Bars; or Layout Options bar → Bars. Select the bar. Bar Settings tab. Show bar when collapsed. Show bar for grouping bands. Calendar nonwork time. Activity nonwork intervals. OK, or Apply to view without closing. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. Oracle does print a how-to titled Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings. Oracle does not print a menu item named Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings. The menu that how-to prints is View, Bars. Do not invent View > Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings.

Oracle Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings (Professional):

• "Choose View, Bars. You can also click the Layout Options bar and choose Bars."
• "Select the Gantt Chart bar for which you want to change the label."
• "Click the Bar Settings tab."
• "To include the selected bar when you collapse the display to summary-level information, select Show bar when collapsed."
• "To display the selected bar as a summary bar only, select Show bar for grouping bands."
• "To show the selected bar's nonwork time as a neck based on the activity's calendar, select Calendar nonwork time."
• "To show the selected bar's nonwork intervals as a neck based on out-of-sequence progress and suspended/resumed activities, select Activity nonwork intervals."
• "Click OK. To view your changes without closing this dialog box, click Apply."

Quote Oracle's wording on that page: it says "change the label" on this settings how-to. Do not "fix" it. That how-to fetched prints no Save, no Yes, no Bar Type, no Show Progress, and no View, Barchart Options. Do not invent those on this how-to.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — View, Bars / Layout Options bar → Bars; select the bar; Bar Settings; Show bar when collapsed; Show bar for grouping bands; Calendar nonwork time; Activity nonwork intervals; OK or Apply. No Save on that page.

EPPM web — Oracle Configuring Activity View Gantt Chart Bars has Show Progress, Show Critical, Show Expanded Summary Bars, Bar Type, Height. That page fetched does not print View, Bars, Bar Settings, Show bar when collapsed, Show bar for grouping bands, Calendar nonwork time, or Activity nonwork intervals. Do not copy Professional Bar Settings / necking onto EPPM. Do not copy EPPM Bar Type / Show Progress onto Professional.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The how-to is not an XER table. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no BARSETTINGS / NECKING / SHOWBARCOLLAPSED table. Do not invent a view %T. Changing a bar's settings does not write TASK. Layouts travel as .plf. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner used this how-to.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Project can format Gantt bar styles. Do not map that as P6 Change a Gantt Chart bar's settings. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
