Remove Successor Relationships

What a planner means

Remove successor relationships is Oracle Remove successor relationships. Project, Activities; select the activity; Display Activity Details; Successors or Relationships tab; select the successor; Remove; Yes. It is a command. It is not stored as its own table. It is not Change successor relationships, not Assign Successors, not Unlink Activities, not Delete relationships in the Gantt Chart, not Remove predecessor relationships, and not EPPM Delete Relationship copied onto Professional.

Oracle Remove successor relationships (Professional):

1. "Choose Project, Activities."
2. "Select the activity from which you want to remove a successor relationship."
3. "Display Activity Details, then click the Successors or Relationships tab."
4. "Select the successor you want to remove." "To view the successor's activity information before removing the relationship, click Go To."
5. "Click Remove, then click Yes."

Quote those. Quote Go To, Remove, and Yes. Quote Successors or Relationships tab as printed (plural Successors). That how-to fetched prints no type, no lag, no Comments, no Double-click the line, no Delete, no Successor tab (singular), no Successor Activity column, and no menu item named Remove successor relationships. Do not invent those. Do not invent Edit > Remove successor relationships. Do not collapse this page's Successors or Relationships tab onto Change successor's Successor tab (singular) or Successor Activity column.

Change successor relationships is a different how-to. Same tab path; Remove without Yes or Go To. That page also prints Assign / Relationship Type / Lag. Step 3 prints Successors or Relationships tab. The Assign sentence prints Successor tab (singular). The Remove sentence prints Successor Activity column. This remove how-to prints Successors or Relationships tab and does not print Successor tab or Successor Activity column. Do not collapse them. See Change Successor Relationships.

Assign Successors / Add successor relationships are different commands. Those create a relationship. The add how-to prints Successors tab (plural). This removes one. See Assign Successors.

Unlink Activities is a different command. Edit > Unlink Activities removes relationships between the selected activities. It does not print Go To, Remove, or Yes. See Unlink Activities.

Delete relationships in the Gantt Chart is a different how-to. Double-click the line → Delete → Yes. That is a Gantt line, not the Successors tab. See Delete Relationships in the Gantt Chart.

Remove predecessor relationships is a different how-to. Predecessors or Relationships tab. Do not collapse the titles.

View activity relationships in Activity Details is a different how-to. Show on Bottom tabs. View only. See View Activity Relationships in Activity Details.

Professional vs EPPM

Professional — Successors or Relationships tab; Go To; Remove; Yes. No Save on that page.

EPPM web — Oracle Creating Activity Relationships tip: "To delete a relationship, right-click the relationship line and select Delete Relationship." That is Gantt. Oracle Configuring Successor Relationships is Relationships detail window → field values → Save. Those pages fetched do not print Go To, Remove, or Yes. Do not copy Professional Go To / Remove / Yes onto EPPM. Do not copy EPPM right-click Delete Relationship / Save onto Professional.

Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.

XER

The command is not an XER table. After it runs you see a missing TASKPRED row. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no REMOVESUCC / REMOVE_SUCC / REMOVESUCCESSOR table. Do not treat a missing TASKPRED as “the planner clicked Remove on the Successors tab.” A Viewer cannot tell this command from Unlink, Delete Gantt, Change Remove, import, or EPPM Delete Relationship.

Microsoft Project

Microsoft Change a task link: pick (None) from the Type list, or delete the predecessor row on Task Information. That page fetched prints Predecessors tab and no Successors tab. That is not P6 Remove successor relationships (Go To; Remove; Yes). Do not map them as the same command. Do not invent a Task Information Successors tab. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.

Don't

• Treat this as Change successor, Assign, Unlink, Delete Gantt, or Remove predecessor.
• Invent type, lag, Comments, Double-click the line, Successor tab (singular), Successor Activity column, or a menu item on this how-to.
• Collapse Change successor Remove (no Yes / no Go To; Successor Activity column) onto this Remove → Yes / Go To.
• Collapse this page's Successors or Relationships tab onto Change successor's Successor tab.
• Copy EPPM right-click Delete Relationship / Save onto Professional, or Professional Go To / Remove / Yes onto EPPM.
• Invent a REMOVESUCC XER table, or reconstruct the command from a missing TASKPRED row.
• Map this to MSP Type (None) as the same command.
• Invent a Task Information Successors tab.
• Claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
