What a planner means
Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart is Oracle Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart. View, Barchart Options. Options. General tab. Mark Show Relationships to display relationship lines. Clear it to hide them. You can also click on the Top Layout toolbar. OK, or Apply to view without closing. It is a how-to. It is not stored as its own table. It does not create, edit, or delete a relationship. It is not the Show Relationships object note, not View activity relationships in the Gantt Chart, not Create / Edit / Delete relationships in the Gantt Chart, not Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend, not Change the background lines in the Gantt Chart, not Sight Lines, not TASKPRED, not EPPM Relationships / Non-driving relationships copied onto Professional, and not Microsoft Show/Hide link lines.
Oracle does print a how-to titled Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart. Oracle does not print a menu item named Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart. The menu that how-to prints is View, Barchart Options. Do not invent View > Show or hide relationship lines.
Oracle Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart (Professional):
- "Choose View, Barchart Options."
- "Click Options."
- "Click the General tab."
- "To display relationship lines in the Gantt Chart, mark the Show Relationships checkbox. To hide relationship lines, clear the Show Relationships checkbox. You can also click on the Top Layout toolbar to show or hide relationship lines."
- "Click OK. To view your changes without closing this dialog box, click Apply."
That how-to fetched prints no Save, no four begins-on / ends-on sentences, no FS / SS / FF / SF, no draw, no Double-click, no Delete, and no Click Gantt View. Do not invent those on this how-to.
Show Relationships is a different object note. The Show Relationships checkbox. Leave Show Relationships as the object.
View activity relationships in the Gantt Chart is a different how-to. A line connecting two activity bars; four begins/ends. That is reading the lines. This how-to shows or hides them. See View Activity Relationships in the Gantt Chart.
Create / Edit / Delete relationships in the Gantt Chart are different how-tos. They write or remove TASKPRED. This how-to only shows or hides the lines.
Show or hide the Gantt Chart legend is a different how-to. Show Legend. That Activities legend page fetched prints no Click Options. This how-to does print Click Options. Do not collapse them. See Show or Hide the Gantt Chart Legend.
Professional vs EPPM
Professional — View, Barchart Options; Options; General; Show Relationships; OK or Apply; or Top Layout toolbar. No Save on that page.
EPPM web — Oracle Configuring Activity View Gantt Chart: "Select the Relationship lines option to show lines between activities on the Gantt." Also "Select the Non-driving relationships option to draw lines between activities on the Gantt even where the relationship doesn't affect the successor's dates." Oracle Gantt View Format of the Activities Page: Gantt Settings Relationships "Show or hide relationships between activities in the Gantt." Those pages fetched do not print View, Barchart Options, Click Options, or Show Relationships. Do not copy Professional Show Relationships onto EPPM. Do not copy EPPM Non-driving relationships onto Professional.
Primavera Cloud is a different product. Do not copy it here.
XER
The how-to is not an XER table. Showing or hiding lines does not write TASKPRED. Oracle’s project XER map TOC has no SHOWREL / SHOWRELATIONSHIPS / RELLINE / LAYOUTREL table. Do not invent a view %T. Relationships are TASKPRED. A Viewer cannot reconstruct that the planner had Show Relationships marked.
Microsoft Project
Microsoft Project can show or hide link lines on the Gantt. Do not map that as P6 Show or hide relationship lines in the Gantt Chart. Do not claim MPXJ writes a real MPP.
